We got the keys to our place! Yay!

Today we went back to get the keys to our apartment.  It took a couple hours but we finally have possession of our apartment.  It was a little stressful again since our agent went through the entire place again and pointed out anything that needed to be fixed.  It is crazy!  They go through and point out any scratch/chip/imperfection and document it to show the state of the place when we move in for record when we move out.  They even make them fix anything that is loose (we have a toilet seat that is loose) or not working right.  Even the light bulbs are changed out by them if not working.  The condo is awesome but will take some time getting used to it.  All the light switches for the bathrooms are outside the door and you can't plug a hair dryer in as well.  You have to do that outside the bathroom.  I did buy a hair dryer today.  Happy dance!  ;)

Another awesome thing was the cable/internet service.  We didn't wait for them during a 4 hour window.  Our agent had him come while we were there and within 10 minutes we were connected wirelessly and have a cable box waiting for our tv.  What?  Yep, you heard that right!  Awesome.  Our electric was already set up for us and the gas guy comes at 11 tomorrow.  So strange not getting the 4 hour window and having to sit around all day.

I didn't take any pictures of the inside since the agents were all over the place but I did take some of the outside.

The kids checked out the play ground.  Our building is right next to this and the pool so it is a very short walk. Convenient!

Mason was very excited to see the koi pond.

This is my commute to the fitness center.  It is pretty nice and peaceful.  No road rage going down Manchester Rd.  Ha!

The view from one side of the fitness center.  The other view is of the koi pond.  Nicky and Katie - I think that is our favorite machine on the right.  Yay!!!!

Of course this is the kids' favorite place.  We will hopefully have time to hit this pool tomorrow or Wednesday.

We ended up eating lunch at California Pizza Kitchen and then dinner at an Irish pub.  I think we were needing a little bit of home today.  I needed a drink!  We are tired from all the walking back and forth between our two places and also carrying the bags.  I need to hit up Ikea for one of those rolling shopping carts.  That baby is going to get some miles put on it!

  1. I can't wait to see what the inside of your apartment looks like. You are going to be in such good shape by the time you get back with all of the walking and fantastic fitness centers.

  2. Glad things went so smoothly--nice to be somewhere that understands customer service. Hopefully you can move in sooner than later. Glad you got a hairdryer and hope you found some other appliances you will be needing.

  3. Beautiful surroundings! Can't wait to see the rest as you get moved in. You'll have to adjust to cooking again haha! Your grocery list will definitely be different with all the new options and fresh seafood available! Tim is jealous -
